My mom has been visiting several areas in Nicaragua for many years with her church in Florida. They serve the children and families through various projects. She has made many friends there and seen many children grow up through the years.

There happened to be an organization based here in Charleston, One World Health, that is building sustainable medical clinics in Nicaragua. We lept at the opportunity to help create one near the area my mother has visited often. We had the honor of visiting it for the grand opening. My mom’s friends attended the celebration and the administrators of the clinic dedicated it to my mom with a beautiful plaque.

These are the types of platforms I am so grateful to have been a part of. I hope to be a part of many more.
